Collage Artist Mario Enea

For the past twenty five years, California artist Mario Enea has created unique artwork blending his artistic talents with his passion for the game of lacrosse. His collages are created by combining hundreds of cutouts from fashion magazines. He scours through the highest quality magazines searching for different colors, patterns and textures.

Every detail in the collage is an individual cut out. Nothing is painted or manipulated with a computer. Everything is either ripped or cut out with an X-Acto knife and glued together. When he rips the paper in one direction, it leaves the edge the color of the paper. When he rips the piece of magazine in the other direction, it leaves a white edge. He uses this technique to push and pull the light and dark values, in order to create the composition. The end result is a distinctive form of artwork.

Each BraveHeart reproduction is based on one of the original collages. Whether a faithful giclee canvas or print in archival quality paper, this artwork is sure to be a nice addition to any players room or coaches office.
