About Coach Mario Enea
Building Champions. Building Character. Building the Game.
Coach Enea is a nationally respected coach, former professional player and the founder of BraveHeart Lacrosse. With over three decades of experience as a player, coach and program builder, Coach Enea has dedicated his life to developing confident athletes, who compete with purpose—on and off the field.
Elite Playing Background
Coach Enea played collegiate lacrosse at the University of California, Berkeley, where he was part of a dominant program that helped redefine West Coast lacrosse. During his time at Cal, the team posted a 56–5 record and was featured on the cover of Lacrosse Magazine under the headline “Is Cal the Best in the West?”
He went on to represent the West Coast in the NCAA Division I North vs. South Senior All-Star Game at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1996, Coach Enea was drafted into the Major Indoor Lacrosse League, playing professionally before transitioning into coaching. He also competed in high-level club lacrosse for fifteen years with the Monterey Sharks, Marin Lacrosse Club, and the Olympic Club.
Proven Coaching Leadership
Coach Enea began his coaching career in 1997 at his high school alma mater, Stevenson School in Pebble Beach, California.
Since then, he has served as a head coach at every youth grades 1st thru 8th, high school junior varsity and Varsity and at the collegiate level, building competitive programs while developing athletes the right way.
